SPARK 2017 Expands Into Financial Inclusion
Urjanet Inc | September 8, 2017 | Credit & Lending | Urjanet News
Urjanet’s fifth-annual utility data conference, SPARK, will take place on September 14th in Atlanta, GA. The goal of SPARK is to create a collaborative forum at the Georgia Tech Global Learning Center where like-minded people can exchange ideas through thought-provoking panels, roundtable discussions, and interactive presentations from industry experts. The conference offers unparalleled industry insights into energy management, corporate sustainability, and this year: financial inclusion.
“This year’s SPARK will follow the trajectory of Urjanet’s own growth as a company. As Urjanet discovers new use cases for automated utility data in the realm of alternative credit data and enhanced financial inclusion, the conference has expanded to reflect them,” says Sanjoy Malik, Urjanet’s CEO. “We are excited to invite experts from Kabbage, ID Analytics, Experian, TransUnion, Equifax, and more to join us for SPARK 2017.”
Headlining speakers include Nobel Prize-winning professor Dr. Marilyn Brown, Lee Ballin, Head of Sustainability Programs at Bloomberg, and Steve Swartz, Partner at McKinsey & Company. Additional attendees and speakers represent a variety of research experts, commercial companies, and solutions providers, like Verdantix, Lux Research, UPS, Newell Brands, EnerNOC, and Goby.
Maury Wolfe, Director of Corporate Responsibility at InterContinental Hotels Group, said about last year’s conference: “SPARK is a fantastic event for discussing and sharing corporate sustainability best practices, especially around the use of data. It’s an extremely valuable conference for sustainability professionals interested in learning how other organizations are achieving success.”
After a full day of accelerating industry knowledge and forging valuable connections, learning and networking opportunities will shift into high gear at the Porsche Experience Center afterparty. Attendees will feel the thrill of tearing around the Porsche racetrack while building valuable business partnerships. “The Porsche afterparty was the most fun I have ever had ‘at work!’” – Janie Jefferies-Freer, President of eSight Energy.
SPARK 2017 is sponsored by a number of leading organizations, including Lucid, Gas South, Buddy, CWE, and Cognosos.
