Urjanet, the global leader in utility data aggregation, announced today that it has launched the industry’s first fully automated utility interval data service in response to growing demands for a more cost-efficient solution to identify and optimize savings on energy and water costs. Urjanet Utility Interval Data boasts the most comprehensive coverage in the industry, connecting to over 70 utility providers globally.

The introduction of Urjanet Utility Interval Data responds to the specific needs of organizations to acquire granular meter data in intervals typically ranging from five to 60 minutes. Urjanet Utility Interval Data is fully automated and cloud-based, allowing users to access interval meter data readings for electricity, natural gas, and water usage. The data is access directly from the utility provider’s customer portals and delivered to a designated FTP/sFTP location, hosted by either the customer or Urjanet to maintain data security.

Unlike traditional interval meter data, the service requires no hardware installations, saving end users both time and money during the implementation process.

“Today’s announcement is another milestone for Urjanet and marks our commitment to innovation to ensure our customers are able to achieve their goals in the most cost-efficient and timely manner,” said Sanjoy Malik, CEO of Urjanet. “Urjanet Utility Interval Data provides a more streamlined way to make operational improvements for facilities, plan effective energy initiatives, and manage energy budgets.”

With more granular, detailed usage data than provided on a monthly bill, Urjanet Utility Interval Data enables energy and facilities managers to derive new insights and identify more areas to optimize and save on consumption.

“The insights we can glean from Urjanet Utility Interval Data are essential for virtually all energy management and operational efficiency efforts,” said Vladi Shunturov, president and CTO of Lucid. “Getting data directly from utilities is anything but simple or easy. We are excited to be an Urjanet partner and to leverage their expertise and technology in solving all tiers of utility data access.”

While  interval meter data from traditional sources like sub meters can be costly and difficult to acquire, Urjanet Utility Interval Data provides a cost effective, streamlined process to get the right data for each end user. Urjanet Interval Data provides:

  • A deeper understanding of usage and consumption costs
  • A better way to strategically plan energy initiatives
  • A more budget-friendly investment over traditional methods
