Urjanet to Present at The Wall Street Journal’s 2014 ECO:nomics Conference

Sanjoy Malik, CEO of Urjanet, will speak on “The Next Big Thing in Energy Data” as part of the 2014 ECO:nomics conference.

ATLANTA — March 17, 2014 — Urjanet is pleased to announce its participation in The Wall Street Journal’s 2014 ECO:nomics conference. This annual event brings together top CEOs and investors, pioneering entrepreneurs, industry experts and policy makers to discuss the most critical issues facing leaders who are driving change at the intersection of business and the environment. Sanjoy Malik, CEO of Urjanet, will participate in “The Next Big Thing” session and will discuss how Big Energy Data is fundamental to making decisions related to energy cost and carbon emission reduction.

“I’m excited to join this group of distinguished conference participants who are passionate about exploring opportunities and providing innovative solutions to overcome the significant economic and environmental challenges we face today,” Malik said. “As energy costs continue to rise, it’s essential that we understand the impact energy has on the bottom line, and our environment.”

Energy is typically the third biggest expense for most large organizations, and understanding energy use is the first step toward reducing energy cost and carbon emissions. Large multi-facility organizations are all too familiar with the daunting task of collecting timely and reliable energy data from hundreds of disparate sources. To ease their pain, Urjanet delivers the automated Big Energy Data organizations rely on to make smarter, more profitable and eco-friendly energy decisions. Malik will discuss how good data is the basis for understating energy use that can help companies, governments and organizations take action to significantly reduce energy costs and carbon emissions.

“We’re excited to have the opportunity to make a difference by enabling our large multi-facility customers to automate the collecting of energy data from hundreds of disparate utilities and deliver it directly to their energy management, accounting and business intelligence systems.” Malik stated. “Our Big Energy Data Platform allows them to automate the entire data collection process and gain the granular visibility needed to reduce energy cost and carbon emissions.

ECO:nomics will take place in Santa Barbara, Calif., from April 2-4, with Sanjoy Malik presenting during “The Next Big Thing” session on Friday, April 4. Conference topics and deliberations will be covered in a Wall Street Journal special report published worldwide shortly after the event.
