SourceOne, a Veolia Energy company; and Urjanet, the world’s leading provider of automated utility data, today announced a partnership enabling SourceOne to enhance its energy management consulting services and improve operational efficiency. Using the Urjanet Utility Data Platform, SourceOne will automate their utility data collection and reporting process, ultimately enabling their clients to get the most value at the best possible price from their suppliers.

“Before partnering with Urjanet, our utility data aggregation process was very manual, requiring a great deal of human capital to be diverted to such a time-consuming process,” said Chris Barros, Vice President and General Manager of Energy Management at SourceOne.

“We struggled to obtain complete data sets from many disparate sources, which slowed down our ability to develop and implement successful solutions for our clients. With the Urjanet Utility Data Platform, we’re now able to automate the data collection and standardization process, allowing us to drive operational efficiencies for our clients.”

SourceOne is recognized as a leading energy management and consulting firm, supporting clients to make their energy solutions more sustainable, reliable, and cost efficient. To date, the company manages over $2 billion in annual utility expenditures and has consulted on over $1 billion worth of energy infrastructure projects. And while well-known in the U.S., the partnership enables SourceOne to expand its services internationally leveraging Urjanet’s expansive global utility provider network.

“We selected Urjanet as our utility data provider because of their comprehensive access to utility providers in the U.S. and internationally,” said Barros. “Through this partnership, we can focus our efforts on optimizing our clients’ procurement and sourcing capabilities, while Urjanet handles the heavy lifting to secure, normalize and deliver useful utility data.“

“This strategic partnership will help SourceOne clients quickly gain powerful, high-level insights into their energy performance, improve on their operational efficiency, and ultimately unlock new savings,” said Sanjoy Malik, Urjanet’s CEO. “We’re excited about the long-term and impactful relationship between Urjanet and SourceOne.”
