Urjanet’s SPARK15 Conference Explores Critical Energy & Sustainability Challenges

The world’s leading provider of utility bill and interval data will host its annual energy conference in Atlanta on Nov. 10th

ATLANTA — October 20, 2015 — Urjanet – the company that makes the world’s utility data easily accessible and usable – today announced its third-annual energy & sustainability conference, SPARK15, which will be held at the Georgia Tech Global Learning Center in Atlanta. This exclusive, invitation-only event brings together the brightest minds to discuss and debate critical energy management and sustainability challenges, solution strategies and best practices to foster learning, inspiration and wonder – and provoke conversations that matter.

“SPARK15 is the perfect venue for exploring how global organizations are using data to reduce energy cost, consumption and carbon emissions,” said Urjanet’s CEO, Sanjoy Malik. “Our energy management and sustainability solution partners will share the latest insights and innovations that are enabling companies around the world to explore new ways to manage energy use, meet sustainability goals, and save money.”

The goal of SPARK is simple: to create an open and interactive forum where thought leaders, visionaries and practitioners can exchange ideas and insights on energy management and sustainability challenges, solutions and best practices that can help participants identify opportunities for improvement within their own organizations.

Top energy management, environmental health and safety (EHS), facilities and sustainability professionals, plus energy management and sustainability solutions providers will participate in panel discussions, breakout sessions and thought-provoking presentations that explore innovative ways to reduce energy consumption, cost and carbon emissions.

“UPS is committed to helping customers become more sustainable through using our intelligent logistics networks. I’m honored to be sharing at SPARK15 how we do this,” said Edward Rogers, Senior Director of Global Sustainability at UPS.

“Energy and sustainability data are fast becoming decision-useful to the C-suite,” says Chris Hagler, EY’s Climate Change and Sustainability Services Southeast Practice Leader and a presenter at SPARK15. She notes that the savings potential in managing energy costs through proactive energy efficiency programs can be highly beneficial to a company’s bottom line. “Energy data is often the key to unlocking these savings,” adds Chris. “I’m looking forward to hearing how leaders across diverse industries are using all types of sustainability data to drive organizational improvements.”
